Looking for Cheddar Man with Tina Salvidge
Somerset artist Tina Salvidge has been exploring many themes in her latest work 'Looking for Cheddar Man'.
The result is an incredible archive of cultural connections, some of which she's created with local communities, exploring ancestry, and inspired by the story of Cheddar Man - Britain's oldest, nearly complete human skeleton, dating back about 10,000 years.
Her work raises questions of time and place, and of the movement of people... which is particularly poignant against today's social backdrop. It also explores who we are at our heart, and encourages us to think about ideas surrounding misinformation, and the examination and display of artefacts ... how they are preserved and treated.
