Somerset and Dorset Animal Rescue are marking 25 years at their rescue in Wincanton.

Over the years, they have saved the lives of over 40,000 animals.

Liz and Colin Stewart, their daughter Emma, and a small, dedicated team of volunteers pour their hearts into rescuing dogs, cats, and a whole host of other animals in need... taking care of the Rescue and finding forever homes for animals that have been abandoned, mistreated, or surrendered.

Jenna caught up with Liz and volunteers Andy and Pat, to chat about the Rescue and the 25 year anniversary fun day and dog show they're having on Sunday 7th September (please come along to support them and to celebrate the anniversary).

They also chat about how you can help prevent more dogs and cats coming into rescue, and support those that are already there.

Liz speaks brilliantly, and it's so interesting to discover more about what being a volunteer involves.

Please listen to the conversation and support rescues. They really do need your help now more than ever.
