Wooh Gary Davies, celebrating the 80s

We've got to give a big "wooh" to Gary Davies... and you'll know why if you tuned into BBC Radio 1 during the 1980s and early 90s.

As well as his show on Radio 1, Gary was a regular presenter on Top Of The Pops, of course. In 2025, you can hear him presenting his ‘Sounds of the 80s ‘show on BBC Radio 2 on Saturday nights.  

During the 80s, Gary helped to pioneer the launch of many ‘now classic’ songs and he still loves to tour and play the music he lived, breathed and shared with us during that iconic decade. He’s bringing his 'Kick up the 80s' party to Komedia Bath later this year, so that was a great excuse for Jenna to have a chat with Gary.
